Traveling on an airplane has become a part of life for many people, and it goes without saying that airports have become part of their lives as well. But for a novice traveler, airports can be strange, alien lands that can be difficult to navigate in.
To avoid being harassed and delayed, keep these things in mind:
Arrive early. Even before the stricter security currently employed in airports, arriving at least two hours before your scheduled flight was already recommended. This is to ensure that you will be ready and secured before the flight.
Have your ticket ready. Whether it's a paper ticket or a printout of an e-ticket, be sure to have it handy to avoid delays.
Check-in your baggage at the ticket counter. Luggage cannot be checked in anywhere else.
Finally, be ready for an increase in security and crowd control measures. It may be tedious, boring and inconvenient, but it really is better to be safe than sorry.
